Ensures compliance with Texas employment law and agency policies; supports staff development and retention.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
Experience: 3–5+ years in HR; HCBS/healthcare staffing experience beneficial.
Skills: Strong interviewing, selection, onboarding, policy development, benefits administration, payroll coordination basics.
Knowledge: Texas labor law, EEO/anti-discrimination rules, FMLA/ADA basics, HIPAA/privacy awareness.
Background checks: Required for hiring; ongoing compliance checks as needed.
In-service onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and safety training.
Privacy and data security; workers’ comp basics; unemployment insurance basics.
HRIS/Payroll system training; policy administration.
Recruit, screen, and hire staff; coordinate background checks and onboarding.
Maintain personnel files, HR policies, and compliance with wage/hour laws.
administer benefits, leave programs, performance management, and employee relations.
Ensure regulatory documentation and records are maintained securely.
Works with Executive Leadership, Compliance, Finance, and Operations.
May supervise HR coordinators or assistants.
Maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and training records.
Ensure privacy of personnel files; support regulatory audits as needed.
